I think my year decided that 'photograph' by nickelback is the song for the final assembly, and being a fan of nickelbacks latest album, i sung the song in my head and thought this was quite comical...here are some of the lyrics from the song which is going to be played on the day we leave school.....:

This is where I went to school,
Most of the time had better things to do,
Criminal record says I broke in twice,
I must've done it half a dozen times.

I wonder if it's too late,
Should I go back and try to graduate,
Life's better now than it was back then,
If I was them, I wouldn't let me in.

Does anoyone else find it funny that we are walking out of school while a song is being played about a crap school that 'we' broke into...HILARIOUS

Well I just thought that i would point that out for everyone.

Good day

my year is pretty much a bunch of dickheads and we are all just up for a laugh.(eg wen voting for colors for our grad olive brown and black was close 2nd on 12 votes to blue green and silver on 17) hence the song we walked out of assembly to was aqua's cartoon heroes ie

We are the Cartoon Heroes - oh-oh-oh
We are the ones who're gonna last forever
We came out of a crazy mind - oh-oh-oh
And walked out on a piece of paper

stupidest song eva...but it was good for a laugh.

I reckon that kashmir by Led Zeppelin should be the anthem. It's got a sense of victory in the music and the way that its played that just lifts you up as though you have just conquered something.

Iggy Pop and The Stooges - Real Wild Child
The 1st verse speaks for itself:
"Well I'm just outa school
Like I'm real real cool
Gotta dance like a fool
Got the message that I gotta be
A wild one
Ooh yeah I'm a wild one"

im pissed off
We graduated last night....they changed our songs on us
Instead of Lion king, we walk into "Beautiful Day" by U2
Instead of We Are Family, we walk out to "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim
I am NOT impressed

i dunno about you guys, but i WILL be cranking Korn - Twisted Transistor

eww, it's Korn, but DAMN is that one up beat, power heavy song. I dig it.

Tbh, the leavers Anthem for 2005? for my crew, without hesitation:
Green Day - Holiday

Enough Said.

at our school we had a list on the notice board where everyone could put down the songs they thought should be played at our final assembly. as with this post, a whole bunch of people put down a whole bunch of **** songs, with only a few decent ones. i put down schools out by alice cooper, another brick in the wall by pink floyd (NOT korn), hot for teacher by van halen, etc. schools out was the song we sung. we rock! but we probably could have picked somethin better... i just couldnt think of anythin.

'times like these' by the foo fighters should be the leavers anthem for 2005.

Awesome, I was just about to ask what the popular songs played in clubs at schoolies were. Are you actually going to mix the songs?

Also, did they play Fire by Ferry Costen?

i reckon for schoolies we more had a whole album as our anthem, it was james blunt. the amount of times we chucked that cd on, good music though. i guess "your beautiful" and "goodbye my lover" will b the ones to stick in my head though.
