Default Anthem for Schoolies Class of 2008

Every Schoolies graduate class, one or at best three big anthems become the songs of schoolies that year.

Every group at schoolies finds their own schoolies week song, but usually there is a pervasive song in the charts that speaks to us as a whole.

Sometimes the song is limited to a friendship group and has meaning limited to that group.

But there is always a song.

No one walks away from Schoolies Week without a song representing their time celebrating schoolies week.

What will be the anthem for schoolies 2008 - or if not for everyone - what will be your anthem for schoolies 08?

It's a slow year for decent music... nothing in the Schoolies Anthem category yet, nothing even looking like a worthy song.

I'd be putting my money on 'I Kissed A Girl' by Katy Perry IF it were released a bit later but I'm afraid the novelty of that song would of worn off by the time schoolies comes around. I'm guessing it will be some electro song though.

I can't speak for all of '04 schoolies but I would have to say 'Call On Me' by Eric Prydz or 'My My My' by me mate Armin Van Helden would of been the anthem for the +18 schoolies as those songs went ballistic in the clubs. My personal schoolies anthem was 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen.

My groups song was "Throw some D's on that bitch".

Absolutely no relevance to finishing school, was just fun to sing to girls whilst walking down the main strip of Airlie at 4 in the morning.
