buy in bulk from the supermarket and then just cook it up. it will turn out way cheaper and will be very convenient.

The only "franchised" fast food outlet you'll find in Byron is the subway near ger daddys mad arse clothing shop.

The Hogs Breath pump out a mean arse steak for DINNER there as well, not lunch, you cant get the mad arse steaks at lunch though, goes well, a bit of fod on top of the alcohol.

One shop i highly recommend is Legends Pizza, yes there are other pizza shops, and yes these guys are not dirt cheap, but they are good, damn good, soem fot he best pizza I ahve ever had actually.
It leaves you craving more, and you just cant stop eating the stuff, I now feel like one, despite not being at Byron since 2003, I keep their number in my mobile jsut in case I am ever up there and need a hit of the stuff, I'll be stopping in at byron on the 11th of november and will be sure to ge tone while I am there.

Default Food

Bay Kababs is way up there, legends is awsome but the best of all is when you have just come out of the back room at the northern pissed as a newt, walk accross the street and buy pies and other awsome pastries from the bakery. soooooo good. If you are after really really good vegetarian food that is cheap the Hari Krishna restaurant is the place to be, I think its called the Kardimon pod accross the road from the 5 star supermarket. near the round about.

ok food in byron:

-subway
-dominos (new!)
-Woolworths
-24hr rip off mini supermarket & and another mini supermarket
-24hr bakery (actually i think there's 2- one near bay kebabs and another across-ish from woolies)
-2 Kebab shops
-3 ice cream shops (2 gelato style and 1 crappish stuff- the one near the roundabout near juice bar is the best...and its open late)
-brumbies bakery (either that or bakers delight....same diff)
-lots and lots of cafes
-fish n chip shops (up the top)
-mexican-ish takeaway joint
-asian noodle bar in the arcade
-sushi train!! (near woolies) (and someone said there was more sushi further up)

hmm then all the restaurants etc

i say stock up in woolies....the lil supermarkets are a rip off....
i usually get a kebab when in byron...they're goood....most other takeaway stuff is a bit of a rip.

oh and if ur there on the 1st sunday of month u can go to the Byron markets in morn nd grab some cool hippie food....which is always nice (sole reason why i go).

Anyway if u wanna know what's going on locally- gigs, workshops, the 5000 yoga classes they run daily, entertainment stuff etc, pick up a copy of The Echo newspaper (Byron Shire News is ****, dont bother) shld be stacked in random shops like Woolies (its free) or steal off peoples lawn on wednesday (actually don't...you might get bashed like Rex....just kidding the Rex thing is a load of ****).

Anymore Byron q's just post/PM me.
Have fun and enjoy your stay!!
