I did part 2 Gattaca as well... i got it pretty good as my Media work kind of led into analysing a film - we do social values in media for a Media SAC, so the same thing for Gattaca was no big deal.

as for the technology thing, i went with the 'essay for magazine' and rehashed all my normal spiel about how crap abbreviations like LOL are. I reckon i did fairly well, all things considered... now i have only another 4 high school essays to write ever!!! (plus short answers and a psyk exam)

Part 1- Curious Incident: I think I did decent, remember quotes which suprised me
Part 2- First They Killed My Father: Once again remembered the quotes, going into the exam this text was my strongest knowledge.

My analysis was all over the place..no organisation. And my letter to the editor wasn't that long, but hopefully it reached criteria.

Next exam is Monday (Maths Further, and VET Multimedia)

well, i think on reflection i will get marked down on the english exams because i didn't talk about character enough... so much about the framing, costuming, and oedipus himself, but lack of mentioning minor characters may hurt me... damn goo dessays but for some reason, though the question doesn't specify it, english teachers like stuff about characters.

ah well, theatre studies tomorrow, should be a breeze

Default Further Exam 2

We what did i say, that exam was without doubt the hardest further exam 2 i have done (done so many about 20).

Thought the last question in the business maths was the worst:
Once again if you wanted the answer you would have needed to create a formular that looked like this one: (OMG)

y = 4000(1.004)^(x-1) + (100(1.004^(x-1)-1)/(.004))
where x1 = 4000

Well im glad its over now, now onto methods (bugger).

Wish everyone all the luck in their next exams....

haha your school copies
gattaca ****ted me, the teacher literally stopped the movie every 10 - 15 seconds with something so we didn't actually get to see the movie, we only got a huge frikin analysis of why they even have a chair in the scene and i ended up having a huge fight with her cause it's excactly what we were doing in media and i was there to learn english, not a second copy of media

Im probably a little late with all this....

But hey - Now its all over (For most of us) Good luck to those who still have exams left! Good luck and I hope you did well to all those who've already done theirs

I did First they Killed My Father and.... Breaker Morant, cant remember which for what....

Our teacher was the same with Breaker Morant - stopping to movie every 5 - 10 seconds to write something up on the board about what just happened....
Screwed up the timing...did the issues first...like the teacher had urged me to do all year and it screwed me up big time.

My analysis is probably the best I've ever done and the essay felt good...but when I looked up I'd wasted two hours on it.... Wouldnt have been a problem if i did the text essays first...but hey. So yea, my two text responses were all over the place and rushed.
3 pages all up for the text responses - 1.5 pages each,
4 pages all up for the issues - 2 pages each.

As for the methods exam - the multiple choice was easier than i thought it would be...still wasnt easy, but it was easier than i thought it would be. Long answer was a bitch...i failed it...

Rest of my exams went great.... Anyone else do business management?

You should do issues first, because you've just read it in reading time.. but only spend an hour on each section!... And the analysis should take 40 mins, and your opinion about 20.. it doesn't take as long because you've already read and highlighted everything, and you know what your talking about!

You should of kept an eye on the time buddy!!

One more for me on tuesday.

congrats victorian yr 12's, most of u have finished or are just about to finish. i finished yr 12 last year and was just reading over how u guys went and its like a trip down memory lane! i gotta ask though, did they change the format for the business management exam this year, cos i did it last year and it was a bitch!
woody, i did the methods exam too, the first one was easy, the long answer ones are always the worst, i wouldnt worry too much, the pass rate for that is pretty low. dont think you wouldve failed!
good luck to you guys, the next 12 months of ur life will fly past before you know it, ive had a ball this year. enjoy schoolies, have the time of ur life wherever you go, just stay safe

Business Managment changed this year, im pretty sure - The whole course changed, so you'd guess the exam would have.

There were three questions - then about three or four sub-questions;
"Dean runs a certain business, staff absenteeism is high amongst younger employees and many have quit complaining of lack of direction... blah blah blah"

Then answer a few questions about management styles, and HR management

I finished it in 45 minutes - and most of the answers went off the lines provided

And - im pretty sure i failed maths....i did piss poor...
