Default Official 2005 Leavers Week Dates Released

I got a call from the Premier's Department about dates for Leavers Week in 2005. They have specified that all Leaver's Week destinations will be welcoming leavers between these dates [only] and any entertainment / support services will only be running during this time.

The official Leaver's Week dates for 2005 are: Thursday 24th of Nov. to Wednesday 30th of Nov. Our recommendation is to book your Leaver's Week accommodation within these dates.

Is that when you have booked? In not why did you choose a different date?

I'm putting together a list of questions about 2005 Leaver's Week for the department. If anyone would like a question added please mention it here or PM me.

The questions about when you booked are for you.

The request for any questions about leavers for the premier's department rep were separate.

I'll post the replies... to questions I asked first if you want, then maybe people will have some more questions they want to ask.

Thanks for the info Dominic a question for mr premier why are the official dates like right after the TEE exams??? some people need to pack for leavers and stuff ... like do the exams finish on that Wednesday and the next day we have to be at our leaver location i think it will be to rushed for some people also some people maybe still on a high from finishing their last exam like the day before

In QLD, people finish on Friday. At the Gold Coast, Friday night they don't expect many and use it as a warm up night... but really kicks off on Saturday.

I doubt there is anything scheduled you will miss out on in WA on the 'first night,' just when police and hotels etc have been told to possibly expect people to arrive from then on.

Take into account also... these are just dates from the gov. Schoolies / Leaver's Week is a tradition amongst young people, not an event put on by the gov, that people attend. If the graduate class of 2005 decided leavers runs from 1st dec to 8th of dec... that's when it's on. Once we find out from them what they plan to offer during the official dates, you will know what you will be missing out on if your booking falls outside the 'official' dates. The main advantage I would be aiming for is to go when most other people are going and to any entertainment that's on and when safety and support services are in place. Will get back to you with more info from them soon.

HOWDY! have fun posting

most of the camping sites like dunsborough lakes and i think maybe beachlands in bussleton are only letting people stay from the 27th to the 3rd. thats the set "week" of leavers.

just thought i might let u know that silly piece of pointless info lol

so is wat the premier said what they think it will be or is it what it DEFFINATELY is? so is wat ur saying that we kinda manipulate it to how we want it? oh, brain hurties

another thing... i know some of the camping grounds (duns lakes, beachlands etc) run shuttle busses from the grounds to the town centre and back for only like $2 but is there nething else set out jsut for leavers that u know of dom? like they have stuff for the ppl on the goldie do they do taht for the poor lil westies? dom, love ur work, ur such a legend
