Default NSW & VIC invasion of Schoolies

Ben Dillaway - Gold Coast Bulletin -November 30th, 2008

FRESH faced southern schoolies, from New South Wales and Victoria, have begun flooding Surfers Paradise as bleary eyed, exhausted and hung-over Queenslanders head home as week one of the festival comes to close.

With last night kick-starting the weekend, crowd numbers swelled at the festival with toolies, foolies and other hangers-on joining the celebrations.

Sydney schoolie Brendan Miknkas said they arrived early so they could enjoy the beach parties before hitting the Surfers clubs during the week.

"We thought we would come a few days earlier so we want to experience it all," said the 18-year-old. "We don't want to miss anything," he said. Continue reading...

Hey quick question. I booked Circle on Cavill apartments, from the 4th of december til the 11th of december for this year for schoolies. We've been told by tonnes of people that all the schoolies parties and stuff close after the 2nd week or something, is this true? because if so, thats really screwed me over.

Off the topic a little I find it rather unusual them having Schoolies Week so close to Christmas for the class of 2010.I honestly can't help you out with the stuff about how the parties and stuff close but what I can recommend is If you have not already booked to go is to consider another option possibly a Contiki or Connections 18 to 30 somethings tour or an Asian Holiday If you are willing to pay the price difference.
