this thread has gone so far off topic.

oh cinna, leavers will probably be a bit earlier than the 27th this year because the 27th is a tuesday and thats not a very cool day to start leavers on, itll probably be on the weekend before it officially begins.

You can come if you aren't a bastard. Judging by the fact that you asked, you are considerate of the other people, which makes it yes.

17 in 2002
18 in 2003 (my schoolies)
19 in 2004
20 in 2005 (this schoolies).

Week 1 and 2 are pretty good for under 18's with the beach and cavil pumping + last year we had like 7 rooms booked in the one hotel so appartment parties killed it.

Be careful if ur buying alcohol for 17 year olds though, i bought my mate a keg and had about 7 liquor department dudes try to take it off us and give us fines. If they had cops with em we woulda been screwed.

I'm still underage - 17 this schoolies

but i love being underage.. I'm really not looking forward to being 18 that much. I wish I could've stayed 16 forever, it was the best age.... I feel like i'm getting old! But still, pretty much everyone that I meet, since I was 14 or 15, has thought that I was around 21. It's the life hahaha

I wish I could stay 17/18 forever, such awesome times.... I cant exactly see a bunch of 80 year olds coming together and drinking spirits till sunset, then after sunset running around causing havok...

I mean hell, I dont even do that! But still - I turn 18 the DAY i get back from schoolies! From now till the end of the year I've got a heap of crap:

Tonight - 18th
Tomorrow Night - 18th
Sunday - Work
Next Friday - First Exam (English, 3 hours)
More 18ths
10th November - Last exam
From there its karate and more 18ths,
25th November - Fly up to Brisbane
28th - Fly back down here
28th - Val Dinner
Next weekend - 4 Knife Defence Seminars
Then leave for Lorne Schoolies
Come back, 18th birthday

From there - it gets into christmas shopping/parties, new years... etc

wow, you are hard. who would have thought of flirting with the bouncer? You must be like THE ONLY person in brisbane who's been clubbing underage. If only I was as rebellious and underground as you.

how old are schoolies in QLD? is it 17 or 18? or both? coz only 50% of the people on the poll are 17. thought it'd be much more than that.

It's kinda both.
You're spose to be 17 when you start year 12, turning 18 only after july (i think it is).. so yeah.. a alot of people start turning 18, but then there are other who don't turn 18 till the following year, pretty much all the way up to june.

make sense?

Lol I JUST make it. I turn 18 on Nov 7th... right in the middle of my exams !! IHATE that. I mean I have a physics exam The morning after my 18th how stuffed is that? But something cool... i turn 18 on Melbourne Cub Day. I like that. But I kind of lucked out. I dont have anyexams ON my birthday, so Im celebrating a day early. Lol but yeah. At the end of every year 12 in my school the year goes on a house boat for a weekend and then i have scholies the weekend after soo my nov goes: 7th: birthday, 10th-13th: House Boat, 17th-28th: Schoolies. So Im set. But Im going to have fun with my ID. I got my L's photo taken when I was 16 (no time to get P's before schoolies), when I had short hair and a clean shave and looked like a innoccent little kid... And now, Ive got long hair and a goaty and look like a punk/thug. Lol So when ever I show it I gotta try to look innoccent. Doesnt work. haha. My photo was bad to take. Got my L's the same time as my gilfriend so she was there when i got the photo taken... pointing and laughing at me and being a dick off to the side... I had to get the photo retaken like 3 or 4 times because I owuld start laughin just as they took it....
