Police are still happy with the behaviour of the majority of school leavers in Dunsborough and Rottnest Island, despite several arrests in the South-West and some evictions from the island.
In Dunsborough overnight, seven people - including five schoolies (http://www.schooliesweek.org) - were arrested for a range of charges including stealing, disorderly behaviour and breaching move-on notices. As police expected, there were some minor scuffles around the town, but nothing serious resulted from them.
Police also issued 25 move-on notices and 15 liquor infringements, but they were still impressed with the general behaviour of the partying teenagers. Meanwhile at Rottnest Island, six people were evicted from the island yesterday, generally for disorderly behaviour. Two of them were evicted by police, while four were sent packing by island rangers. ...more.
