Ninemsn: Loophole could allow gay marriage

Let's pray to God that this will not be allowed. Of course it's the Greens that are backing this, and suprisingly, but thankfully Labor are not. They are backing the federal government and trying to not allow it to go ahead with.

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post this, but it is a General Chat forum and i am talking about a current issue. And hopefully i have the Catholic/Christian's in this site's support.

dude, i personally dont see anything wrong with it...who cares if some queer guys in tasmania get married, would it affect your daily life? even if it were throughout australia its not something to cause a stir about, there are more important issues about our government that need attention. if its a religious reason then, again there is other things the bible says that we need to adopt moreso. I find it boggling that people couldnt be tolerant of this...anyone else agree?

I don't even understand why they want to be married. Love isn't dependant on the ceremony. Nonetheless, I don't see why they aren't allowed.
Also, stretching the topic towards gays adopting, how many straight parents are there that abuse their children? I think that EVERYONE should have to pass a test before they have a kid (beyond finding the right hole)

I reakon that they should be able to get married, I dont really have a problem with it

i dont see a problem.. there is no real issue.. its a free country everyone should have the rite to show there love towards others.. why should strait ppl only have the chance..

i just think marrage should mean male and female. they already make me sick with their stupid parades where they celebrate their sick life. then the media helps the world to accept it by showing shows like 'queer as folk'.

i dread the day it will be normal when you see 2 blokes pashing on a bench. by the way homosexuality is being accepted, it wont be long until paedophilia is accepted. people say "why cant a man be with a man when he loves her?" and now thats allowed. soon it'll be "why cant a man be with a 10 year old girl, if he loves her?"

and about homosexuality being a religious problem, this is a social and health issue. Major religions affirm male-female marriage because it fits the reality of human life and has always been a foundation of civilization.

What about if its a pair of really fat people, but opposite sex(such as in the police conference on drugs in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) :confused:
