Schoolies n toolies

YO! It seems there are a few peeps here who wont be having their first schoolies this year. (ie, they have done schoolies before) At what age does one stop being a schoolie and become a toolie?

Toolie is more of a state of being/attatude , but i recon anything over 20 you've gone to far

a toolie is more of a person who is a fukn TOOL!! and whos old and goes to schoolies to start trouble etc...

ALOT of ppl go up just for a good time to party hard and meet ppl... but yeah i rekon over 20 is to old!! HAHA!! :p

but i went the first year and it was the BESTTTT!!! ul keep wanting to go back haha

i say this now but anyone who goes back more than once is a desperado, although, knowing me, i'll probably go back for round 2 next year

i rekon skoolies is a once in a lifetime thing, u go, its done, u move on just like school. If u go back then u are a toolie simple as that. Not saying i wont come back coz if its good then **** yeh but yeh thats just how it goes.

i think someone has already said this but the term toolie refers to a state of mind, rather than a age bracket. I meet alot of toolies down at the gold coast who just wanted to drink ****en hard, have fun an escape normal life for a week and party.

I (and i am sure most schoolies) would rather party with an toolie who is their to have a great week than the typical schoolie that i meet that tend to be uptight and snobby.

I know that i will be going becoming a 'toolie' in 2005. If u go to schoolies with good intentions and just plan to have a great week than why is their a problem?

I'll probably go back for a second year, so that I can enjoy schoolies as an 18 y.o.

I think if u arent finishing school then you are a toolie. Plain and simple. Schoolies is a celebration for people who are finishing school. Its a celebration of finishing 13 years of institutional schooling and geting drunk and having an awesome time with your mates.

I am willing to accept, as long as they arent dicks, people coming for a 2nd year, to a different destination but with the exception of that exception anyone who hasnt just finished school is a toolie and shouldnt be there.

There are always more guy toolies and girl toolies and they take alot of the girls from us school guys whcih means even if they arent *******s they are still helping bring down the whole experience for guy schoolies which means i hate them....

most school leavers complain about toolies. I did last year when i left school. However i realised at schoolies that u are so pissed about 98% of th time that u dont even recognise who are toolies and who are schoolies. I think that overall in my experiences, the toolies were the better people. I just felt like they were not as paraniod as the schoolies. I went with my mates brothers and they were mid 20's and they didnot **** up schoolies for me or anyone that we encountered.

i have to dissagree with everyone. schoolies for me was all about goin up there with all my chess buddies havin mad chess play offs. we did that during the day but come nite it was a whole other story, we'd get out the soft drinks and chippies and all gather round playing scissors, paper, rock. the time of my life

It was odd, because I got into the exam, and there were a fair few qestions on networking, and I'm doing a vet cource which is solid computer networking for 2 years...so, that kinda helped in that area...then the rest of it I had no idea about it all, our teacher didnt really teach us anything that was in the exam... He still kicks ass though!

I went to schoolies the year b4 my schoolies my schoolies year and the year after and i plan to go again this year. I only live a $30 cab ride from surfers so this year for the first time i wont be staying there. Ive never had any problems with 'toolies' even when i was a schoolie and from what i can see the only ppl who do are sad lads who think there gonna 'steal the chicks'. Ill be 20 this schoolies and with an abundance of 18 year old girls who generally like older dudes, i think i would have to be gay not to go. Its like new years for 2 weeks and theres not many old ppl... party hard my young apprentises

- we dont get hit up for extra bond on the rooms
- we can pay for the room easily of our own accord and dont have to stay in the boonie backlogs of wherever
- we can stay closer to the action beause we have jobs to pay for it
- we have cars worth congregating around
- we can offer a woman more than 5 minutes and a kebab from a stand on the street, such as a decent somewhat romantic dinner etc and dont expect to see any action after 5 minutes of chat
- we dont blend very well, we've given up on trying to wear shirts with loud graphics etc, as in our "old age" 20 or above I am assuming,we can see how ****full they realy look and have instead reverted to clothes that look good
