Eating and drinking - whats on the menu?

Personally I like greasy food with beer, pizza is good too. We had this with a few beers the other night and it was a very good combo:

Anchovies (not cooked), chopped finely and mixed with parsly chopped finely - get a bread stick (like a garlic bread thing) and chop thin slices of bread to pick up the stuff with. Yum yum!

Anyone got a favourite food to accompany drinkies?

With beer:

The worst thing = sushi

The best thing = pizza

Don't ask me why I ate sushi with beer it was just there.

It's best to start drinking I find, then see what your tummy says. Then, getting to somewhere that has what your tummy wants is half the fun.

i must have the weakest stomach but i can't eat anything within about 6 hours of drinking or it comes back up again, but during drinking i've found the fruit and cherry vodka combination is quite appealing :)

Hey, i enjoy eating sushi with Japanese beer, but of course the best would be Sake.

Anyone knows where to get good Chinese food? I found one on Mermaid Beach and one in between Surfers and Broadbeach, just a few blocks away fr Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The food at Four Winds Restaurant ( the Revolving Restaurant at Crowne Plaza ) is also good. Buffet brunch is lovely.

Red crane in brisbane, absoulty brillant food.

(It's in central plaza (i think), one street back from the mall, across the road from all the bus stops up a little ramp.

I just found out a couple days back, surfed the net and just typed Chinatown in Brisbane and the site came out.

Looks cool, and they gave lots of info on what to do and where to eat.

Btw, do you know which bus to take fr Surfers to Brisbane?

smeagols_ghost

You would want to take the train into brisbane, it's about an hour ride 1 way.

Probly a bus to helensvale or one of those stations and the train from there. I don't come from that side of the world so i don't really know.

www.transinfo.qld.gov.au (http://www.transinfo.gov.au) for qld bus/fairy/train times and links

edit: forgot qld

You and your Nuggets!!!Haha, thats right, you know the story :p

Me and my mates will probably try 300 when where down at lorne, call into torquay one day and order 300 nuggets. Sounds a lot, but its easy when you have 10 people, thats 30 nuggets each...thats pretty easy.

I did that once, after school, went to maccas, got 20 nuggets, was still hungry, got another 10, went home, dinner was on the table, ate a whopping big steak and woke up in the morning feeling about 10kg heavier:p

JohnTee

Nuggets are ez to eat. They should serve it in all pubs as finger food.

Somehow the nuggets we buy and deep fry ourselves dont taste as nice, else can save tons of money on fast food.

Half the fun is not having to cook it for yourself...

But, on the other hand - sometimes half the fun is cooking it yourself
