Gmail Invites

Anyone who wants a gmail invite I have a few to give away.

Basically it's Google's new free email service like hotmail and yahoo, just a hell of a lot better.

I get around 100 - 150 emails per day and there is no way I can fill it up... LOL google rocks. MSN is launching it's own search soon, pretty easy to beat the beta algo though so the results can't be that crash hot.

Have you got Google Desktop Search or Gmail Notifier?

Gmail is an email program offered by or friends at Google.

The reason why you need an invite to use it is they are still in beta 'testing phase' with it. Works fine, thats just what they do, test for ages, then release it when it is perfect.

The good thing about it is they offer loads of storage space so you don't ever have a full inbox, and you label stuff instead of putting it in a folder. Which means I can label an email from you as 'friends folder' and 'schoolies work' and 'donors' for example... instead of just trying to put you in one box, I can label your email with a few angels, plus all the content of your email if searchable (by me only). So I can just search 'cracka' and it will come up with every email in which the word 'cracka' is used.

And since it is invite only you can probably get and address like sair at gmail dot com as no one is likely to have it yet (v. sair104853@hotmail.com)

Gmail is invite only at this stage, so, what we are saying is we have the inside track and can give invites out - if you want one let us know and we will give you one.

Instead of only giving a handfull of invites out every now and then, google has now given us 50 invites per account holder. As I have a few gmail accounts I have tons of invites to give away.

If you want one, post your email address in this thread and I'll send you one.

PS - it's heaps better than yahoo or hotmail.

I'm still giving these invites out if anyone wants one as it believe it's far far better email program than hotmail or yahoo. Baker or Ben both use it and will also have invites. Pretty strange they haven't released it for everyone and anyone to sign up for yet.

i've had gmail for months now, is it just me though, i have 50 invites... every single time i invite people, the invites go back up to 50 again :eek:

Same, I think maybe rather than just take it outa beta they are trying to get the membership up virally first.
